John J. Bullaro Jr.
Biography
John J. Bullaro is a founder and director of Bullaro & Carton, P.C. He focuses his practice on insurance defense, product liability, contruction litigation, toxic torts and mold litigation, trucking and freight liability and general tort litigation. Mr. Bullaro handles cases in state and federal courts throughout Illinois and Indiana. He is "AV Preeminent" peer reviewed rated by Martindale-Hubbell, reflecting the highest peer recognition for ethical standards and legal ability. In 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019, he was selected for inclusion in Illinois Super Lawyers. Mr. Bullaro was selected as among Chicago's Top Rated Lawyers for 2015 in Construction Law, Insurance Law and Products Liability.
Mr. Bullaro is a trial attorney with decades of experience handling catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims and has tried numerous cases to jury verdict in state and federal courts. He has been selected by several major corporations to serve as regional litigation counsel. He is designated as approved geographic counsel in Indiana and Illinois for major corporations, including a leading supplier of automotive safety systems and a major construction materials supplier/manufacturer.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Bullaro worked for the Cook County State's Attorney Financial Crimes Division. He has served as an Arbitrator for the National Panel of American Arbitration Association. He has also served on the ISBA's General Assembly, Standing Committee on Insurance Programs and Law Office Economics Council.
Education/Bar Admissions
Mr. Bullaro received a B.S. in accounting in 1966 from Southern Illinois University, where he played linebacker and center for the Salukis football team. He received his J.D. from Loyola University of Chciago School of Law in 1970, where he belonged to Phi Alpha Delta.
He was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1970 and the Indiana bar in 1986 and also has been admitted to the following federal courts:
